1/20/2023 0 Comments Logitech g hub not detectingHi sorry, I'm hi-jacking this just because I made a similar thread 4 months ago, and you did respond, but it didn't gain as much traction.Īlso as a footnote. It's obvious to me that there's something wrong with G HUB not picking up Steam games on different drives, and that's probably an easy fix that no one at Logitech allows to be done. Then ON TOP of that, I have to add a second, custom path (for the D:\ drive) for each game so GHUB picks up when the game is running and switches profile automatically. This is a bizarre workaround but seems like everything works fine on Steam and GHUB shows every game. \junction.exe 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps' 'D:\Games\steamapps'Īfter running that my files are physically on D:\, but they also show up on C:\. I've remembered that Unix has symlinks, and I've found out that Windows has Junctions. It will still show as 'not installed', but at least automatic switching works correctly.ĭo you have any advice on improving the situation?īTW: It's a shame there's no some sort of grid view for the game list, I have to scroll each time I want to check something.ĮDIT (with a bizarre, but working workaround): The only way I can make the game register correctly is to install it temporarily to C:\ (just starting the installation on Steam is enough, or I can move the entire game folder), make G HUB register it, move it back to D:\ and then add a custom path. There is no settings.json present in `%LocalAppData%\LGHUB`, there's only settings.db there. I am aware of the 'add manually' option, but I'd like to have proper game icons and action descriptions. They show as 'not installed' and when I choose to forget them, they disappear forever (or at least I install those back on C:). I have tried installing Steam games in default C: Program Files location and those are picked up instantly, but the same games (I've tested Destiny 2 and Witcher 3) are not detected when installed on D. It detects a bunch of other games on D: from various launchers (actually a good variety - ME: LE from Origin, SnowRunner from Epic, Valhalla, and Immortals from Ubisoft, Doom Eternal from Bethesda and Genshin Impact). I've had to reinstall Windows lately and now G HUB does not detect steam games on my drives, different from C:\. They suggested I buy a larger hard drive, so I can put my Steam games on C:/. EDIT2: I've tried contacting Logitech support through chat.
